Event Schedule
9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Park in West Parking Lot
· Community Organization Display Booths (Eveleth Horizons Coordinator Heather Lindula and volunteer Beth Peterson will be available during this booth time)
Visit displays of community organizations such as Human Resources, Judicial,
Government, Non-profit, and others. This event is unique in that it offers a service to the community by letting them come interact with these organizations in the form of donating needed items to them and allowing like organizations to network with each other. Any donations made are for the sole purpose of benefiting the individual organizations while entrance into the event itself is free.
· College Class Experience
Observe a college class such as Anthropology and French.
· Participate in Pi Day
Come see the displays put on by the Math and Science Club and participate in Pi Day.
3:30 pm – 5:30 pm
· Break out sessions with Memorial Blood Centers, Northeast Entrepreneur Fund, and the Lupus Foundation .
These sessions offer participants the opportunity to connect with organizations in the community in order to be provided with information about their services.

· Keynote Speaker: Dr. David Morris
Dr. David Morris comes to us from the Institute for Local Self-Reliance and is the co-founder and vice-president. The organization focuses on solutions for local areas to become self-reliant in a sustainable way.
Throughout the Evening
· Vignettes
We are proud of our heritage. Vignettes are performed by Kristi Sutton and her theatre department at Mesabi College. The vignettes highlight our heritage and how that heritage is an integral part of moving us forward to a sustainable future on the Iron Range in spite of our challenges. Our ancestors overcame the challenges they faced as they settled here, and we can carry on their legacy by overcoming the challenges we face today to stay here in an economically viable community.
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Question and Answer Panel
Seven local community leaders representing different areas of our community such as government, healthcare, and business among others. The community is invited to participate in a question and answer period to address concerns or ideas they may have that will help the community connect and work together to empower all of us as we find new ways to work together and make a positive difference.
8:00 pm—8:30 pm
· Entertainment: “The Wheeler Dealers”
Come be entertained by a local band from Chisholm called, “The Wheeler Dealers.” country, blues, folk fun, and reggae. Check out samples of their music at: www.myspace.com/thewheelerdealers.
